Hey again everybody, sorry it’s been so long since my last post I’m going to try much harder to post more regularly from now on I promise 🙂
I decided to put a few ink portraits I’ve been doing just to tide you over until I get going with the next special effects project … I started to do a zombie make-up but the friend I used as a model had to move away from the area before I had chance to complete it but I will post the work that I did manage to do in another post. It’s all practice right?
Anyway …
The first portrait I’m posting is actually a drawing I did a long time as a personal commission. It’s a scene from the French movie La Haine where a very young Vincent Cassell’s character is impersonating Robert De Niro in Taxi Driver in his bathroom mirror … It’s a really great, powerful movie so if you haven’t seen it, definitely check it out. Hope you like it 🙂

Thanks so much for the kind words about my work! The film is absolutely amazing, I’m really proud how this drawing turned out.
I had to put the watermarks on my drawings because I try to sell my work as prints. I’m sure you can appereciate the drawings take many hours of time and work. If you are able to wait a little while I am going to put all my work for sale as prints in my own shop which will be at very reasonable prices. Just so you know, “Parlez-vous de moi ?” is a very formal way of asking “Do you talk about me ?”
“You talkin to me ?” would be more like “C’est à moi qu’tu parles ?” which, if I remember correctly, is actually what Cassel says in that scene.
